Sony TV's upcoming show Yudh will mark the debut of legend Amitabh Bachchan. He will play a lead role in the show.
Sony TV is launching a new fiction show titled as Yudh. The show's name is apparently named after Yudhisthir Skarwar which is the male protagonist in the show. The lead character will be essayed by the eminent actor Amitabh Bachchan. Sr. Bachchan has an old and strong association with Sony Channel with famous series of his popular show Kaun Banega Crorepati. Well the channel is all set to launch a show which will have an altogether different concept from their previous show. Here Big B will be seen in a new avatar as he is first time acting in a fiction show.
According to the sources, "Yudh is a show co-produced by Endemol and Amitabh's Saraswati Creations will be directed by Shoojit Sircar who has directed some critically acclaimed movies like Vicky Donor and Madras Cafe. The creative Director of the show is a man with brilliance of knowledge Anurag Kashyap who has gained an applause for his movies like Gangs of Wasseypur. The series will have a finite number of episodes."
The show will feature famous faces like Nawazuddin Siddiqui who was loved as Faizal Khan in Gangs of Wasseypur, Kay Kay Menon was seen in the popular movie ABCD, Tigmanshu Dhulia's nationally acclaimed director of Paan Singh Tomar and Sarika (Shruti Hassan's mother) who is a renowned actress.
The show is likely to be made in the style of Paan Singh Tomar where Irfan Khan was noticed as a dacoit.
