New projects, concepts coming up, says excited Ekta Kapoor

TV tsarina Ekta Kapoor is kicked about bringing new projects and fresh concepts on the small screen platform with shows like Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Ye and Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hain.

"New projects, new concepts coming up :-) - feeling excited," Ekta posted on her Facebook page Friday.

Balaji Telefilms' new show, "Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh", about extra-marital affairs, will mark big screen actress Sonali Bendre's foray into the fiction space on TV. To be aired on Life OK, it will also feature names such as Apurva Agnihotri and Harsh Chhaya.

The show's promo has already hit the small screen.

Another of Ekta's new offerings, "Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai", is likely to go on air on Sony Pal in September end.

It will be an intense love story based in Patna, said a source from the channel.

There is also buzz about a new show that Ekta has planned with two of her favorite actors Ronit Roy and Saakshi Tanwar. An official announcement is yet to be made regarding the show.

Popular actor Udit Shukla who is seen as Sumer in Colors' Rangraisya is enjoying his popularity. The actor has been approached to play the lead in two upcoming shows under renowned banners.

Confirming about the same our source says, "Yes Udit has given a look test for Balaji Telefilm's upcoming show on Sony Pal Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hain and Rashmi Sharma's untitled upcoming show on Zee TV."

When contacted Udit he said, "Yes I have given the look test for these shows."

Roopa Ganguly in Ekta Kapoor's Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai Na!

Roopa Ganguly roped in to play a prominent role in Ekta Kapoor's Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hain on Sony Pal. 

MSM Entertainment had recently launched its new channel Sony Pal where nine new shows that are slated to air on the channel were also launched along with the channel. The makers of the show came in with their finalized star cast for their respective shows, but what made us think was Ekta Kapoor's star cast of the new show Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hain was not present at the launch.

Well, we just got the news that Roopa Ganguly whon was last seen in shows like Zee TV's Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo and Star Plus' Kasturi has been roped in for the new show to essay the the role of a mother.

The show is set in Bihar and chronicles the struggle of young lovers who fight against all odds and family's opposition to unite with each other. The show traces the life and times of two lovers who are in love but are destined to be apart.

Roopa will be seen play an agyakari and doting bahu but she does a role reversal when she is with her husband.
