Mika adds his Midas touch to Mission Sapne's title track

Mission Sapne, the first-of-its-kind television show which brings out the humanitarian side of celebrities, is all set to hit the small screens on Colors. Ace singer Mika, who be seen in the show as a chai wala and support a common mans dreams, has also lent his voice for the title track that attempts to inspire people and bring out the philanthropic nature of the show.

The lyrics of the song 'Sach Hone Ko Hai Sapne' have been penned by Seema Saini, complemented beautifully by music composed by Raju Singh. The music video has been directed and produced by Vikas Gulati of Sobo Films who is also producing the show.

Source adds: “The temperament of the song is very unlike Mika’s style of singing. (He is mostly known for his peppy item numbers). This soulful rendition brings beautifully to the fore the soul of the show. Mika has not just sung the song, but he also features in the video. Mika, who strongly feels for the cause has done the song and video completely free of cost.”

Says Vikas Gulati (Sobo Films) who has produced the show as well as the music video, “When Mika heard about the concept of the music video, he on his own readily agreed to sing and feature in it. He went out of his way and gave us 4 days from his busy schedule for this music video and that too, without charging a penny. That speaks volumes about his generosity and the way he feels about the problems of the common man. We thank Mika for his immense support and cooperation.”

The music Video of Mission Sapne just like the show features some of the biggest names like Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, Harbhajan Singh, Varun Dhawan who have come forward to help the common man.

Salman Khan turns a 'barber' for Colors' Mission Sapne; Drashti Dhami to shoot today as a 'nimbu-mir

Colors’ next celebrity to live the life of a common man and raise money for a noble cause through their upcoming show, Mission Sapne happens to be the one and only Salman Khan.

While there were reports of Salman turning a ‘chaiwala’ for the show produced by Sobo Films, we have learnt that the dashing actor turned a ‘barber’ instead. The shoot for the same happened at Filmcity yesterday where a set-up of a barber shop was created for Salman.

A reliable source tells us that Salman with the usual smile and naughtiness on his face, cut hair, gave head massage and even gave a shave to people who came to his barber shop.

Well, when Salman is there, can dance be kept away? We also hear that Salman did sway and perform with a little kid and two girls, who requested him to give a top-notch performance.

If sources are to be believed, the next celebrities in line to shoot for Mission Sapne are Drashti Dhami, Sidharth Malhotra and Ram Kapoor.

To give you more information on the shoot happening today, Drashti, the effervescent actress who portrays the lead role in Colors’ Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon will be shooting for Mission Sapne at the Oberoi Mall Signal. She will don the avatar of a ‘nimbu mirchi’ seller.

The celebrities who have already shot for the show include Varun Dhawan, Harbhajan Singh, Mika Singh and Ronit Roy.

Mission Sapne will launch sometime in March or April.

Harbhajan Singh 'performed' for the public while selling 'namkeen' for Colors' Mission Sapne

Colors’ latest offering Mission Sapne will showcase the most popular Bollywood celebrities turning into ‘aam aadmi’ for a day, to face the challenges and hardships like any other ordinary man to raise money for those who struggle to make ends meet. The show, produced by Sobo Films is all set to air from end of March or early April.

Yesterday, we wrote about popular hunk Varun Dhawan selling vegetables at the Crawford Market, Mumbai.

We now hear that the ace spinner Harbhajan Singh sold ‘namkeen biscuits’ at Second 17 Market, Chandigarh.

A reliable source tells us that Harbhajan had a whale of a time interacting with the common man. The best part was that many people who came up to him to buy biscuits, demanded quite a lot from Bhajji. While someone wanted him to play cricket, others wished that he danced and sang with them. Harbhajan also drove a scooter on the request of his fans. As Bhajji swayed away, the public also joined in to perform with him.

We hear that the next celebrity to be part of Mission Sapne will be the ‘Boss’ himself, Ronit Roy. Ronit will be shooting with the unit in Unnao, UP in few days time.

As we know, in addition to Harbhajan Singh and Varun Dhawan, celebrities like Salman Khan, singer Mika Singh and many others will also be part of this unique concept.

Varun Dhawan helps vegetable vendors for Colors' Mission Sapne

Colors and Sobo Films are all set to bring an all new concept of celebrities helping the common man for a day in their upcoming reality project Mission Sapne.

Top celebrities from across Bollywood, television, sports and music will be volunteering in this Mission. Some names that have been confirmed to feature in the show are Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan, cricketer Harbhajan Singh, and singer Mika Singh among others.

These celebs will be seen driving a taxi, selling fish or become a door-to-door salesman for the first time.
Interestingly The Student of The Year star Varun Dhawan has already shot for an episode of this show.
So who did this young hero help? “I went to Crawford Market (Mumbai) and shot with vegetable vendors for about five or six hours. It’s a brilliant show,” confessed Varun.

He further also revealed that he was amazed and also inspired at seeing the resilience and spirit displayed by the common men working at Crawford Market. “It may sound clichéd but for me in life these people are my heroes. To wake up so early in the morning and to go out there and toil hard to earn your bread is just inspirational. You can't find better real life heroes.”

Looks like this show will be a trend setter.

“Details related to the show’s time-frame and time-slot are still being worked,” said a channel spokesperson.

We will update you on more soon.
