Jwala Gutta rejects Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 offer

The producers of dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' have failed to rope in Jwala Gutta, for a second time.

The news comes weeks after the release of Jwala's "dance debut" in 'Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde' and it certainly looks like badminton is still top priority for her, despite prospects of a very lucrative deal.
"They wanted her to fly in for the shoot every week for 14 weeks. It was a total of 34 days of shoot," a source close to Jwala told DC.

For the fifth season of the show, Jhalak producers offered Jwala a cool Rs 1.5 crore. She had rejected that, as well. Interestingly, for the sixth season, the badminton champ didn't even discuss the money, before trashing the offer.

"I want to focus on badminton now. Agreed, I do attend a lot of events and yes, I do indulge in a bit of entertainment as well, but there's time for everything. And these things come second to the sport. Doing that song with Nithin was a great experience, but I think I will just let the dancing part sink in a bit, before I consider other projects," the champ said.

And how busy is her training schedule? Jwala revealed that she practices for a total of seven hours, six days a week. She takes a day off, only on Sundays.

"I have got a lot of tournaments and I'm also working with a new partner. It's like starting from scratch," she added.

The source also said, "She rejected it because she has backto-back tournaments coming up."

The all important Indian Badminton League (IBL) is also just around the corner - scheduled between June 24 and July 11, and that's why she said no to the Jhalak deal.
